Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh provided inspiration for La Nuit Etoilee. Swirls of stars were letterpressed in varying shades of yellow and accentuated with whimsical blue lettering. The envelope was sealed with a wax impression of a crescent moon- encouraging recipients to gently lift the flap, view the envelope liner and discover a reimagined version of the artists original painting.
