Desert Romance

DESIGN PROCESS

For Kristen and Lea’s Santa Fe wedding, we created an elaborate crest inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Succulents, cacti, and birds, tied together with southwestern patterning, form the frame around the couple’s custom cipher monogam. Gold foil on grey stock drew upon the dramatic glow of golden sunlight across desert mountains. The grey, cream, and gold palette of the wedding invitation struck a tasteful balance with the more playful and vibrant palette of the wedding accessories. We were privileged to work with Kristin Wolfson, a local artist known for her whimsical use of color and sense of magical realism.

WATERCOLOR SUNSET

The desert sunset casts a soft, dusky glow on the handsome couple and surrounding landscape.

STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE

WEDDING ACCESSORIES

The colorized monogram crest for the wedding accessories captures the range of colors exhibited in the desert landscape and   sunset. The magenta border color on the menu is pulled directly from a prickly pear margarita, served at the rehearsal dinner. A continuation of the southwestern textile patterning from the monogram takes center stage on the rehearsal dinner invitation.

HAPPY TRAILS

Kristin and Lea certainly know how to make an exit. We will watch them ride into the sunset any time.

Gates & Kyle

WEDDING INVITATION

Gates and Kyle’s wedding paper trousseau captured the couple’s abundant southern charm with traditional tailored touches and a refreshing color palette for a November wedding. Their tone on tone cipher monogram in shades of blue keeps this letterpress invitation fresh and preppy, while flowing calligraphy adds a look that is at once youthful and classic.

REHEARSAL DINNER & SUMMER COCKTAILS

A custom cipher monogram nestled in an antler frame adds a masculine element to the rehearsal dinner invitation. The dark blue stock foil stamped in white further enhances the couple’s color scheme. Here, the calligraphed names from the wedding invitation present a more casual look. Summer cocktails honoring the couple featured a map of New Orleans, soon to be their forever home.

ACCESSORIES

The calligraphed names and cipher monogram from Gates and Kyle’s wedding trousseau added a personal touch to napkins, cups, and koozies.

JUST SAY CHEESE

We are all smiles to see monogrammed napkins next to this beautiful confection.

ICING ON THE CAKE

We’re not sure what’s more impressive – the dramatic backdrop of copper vessels at Cathead Distillery, or the couple’s cake table arrangement complete with a collection of relatives’ wedding photos.

CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE

Cheers to a beautiful couple and a liftetime of love!

Dr. Christina DeLucca and Captain Brent Gibbs

WEDDING INVITATION & SAVE THE DATE

Christina and Brent’s wedding invitation exudes a modern tropical feeling, greeting guests with exuberant foliage abundant in both New Orleans and Alys Beach. Clean typography letterpressed in palm green paired with a minimal white wax seal lends this invitation suite the crispness of a seaside breeze. The paper trousseau captures the setting of the couple’s wedding ceremony in Gulf Green, Alys Beach.

CEREMONY
A circular monstera leaf arch framed the couple as the said their vows against the backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico. Reinforcing the green and white theme begun in the invitation suite.

WE CAN GET BEHIND THIS SECOND LINE

Christina and Brent chose to have their wedding in Alys Beach, a sentimental location where they fell in love. New Orleans touches, such as a second line procession, got the good times rolling for all involved.
